Welcome to Cambridge

Cambridge has long held a special charm that has attracted families seeking a safe friendly environment. Our first homes were built in 1986, and ‘early settlers’ recall the muddy trails that are now Cambridge Way! The original Cambridgians were determined to create a friendly neighborhood that encouraged community support and a great social atmosphere for raising families; and so our many traditions began. The first Easter-egg hunt was attended by 15 children and their moms and dads. The Fourth of July parade was a time for everyone to dress in red, white, and blue and walk down the two streets that existed, to the marching tunes played from a boom box pulled along by a wagon. Families met in a garage for Halloween hotdogs before setting out on their trick-or-treat paths. Luminaries were displayed to light the way between neighbors’ homes at Christmas time. In between the holidays, there were low-country boils, progressive dinners, barbecues, and golf tournaments. A pool was built, a swim team was organized, and spiffy looking signs made our neighborhood stand proud amongst the rest. Throughout the past 37 years these traditions have taken hours of energy and effort, but in turn, have provided a wonderful opportunity for neighbors to meet neighbors and friends to meet friends. We are dedicated to keeping these traditions alive –and with your help, creating new ones. Great neighbors, wonderful times…we are very fortunate to share Cambridge with one another.
